Mezzo-soprano Johanna Götz began her vocal training with Annadora Reimer. She initially studied music education and musicology before continuing her studies in opera and concert singing as well as vocal pedagogy with Prof. Gerhild Romberger at the Detmold University of Music.
During her studies, she received further artistic guidance in song interpretation from Prof. Manuel Lange and in role preparation from Prof. Fabio Vettraino.
Johanna Götz performs regularly as a concert and oratorio singer, appearing in Germany and abroad. Her operatic experience includes guest engagements with the opera chorus of the Detmold State Theatre during the 2023–2024 season and the role of Prince Orlofsky in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus in an opera school production at the same theatre. In October 2025, she was heard with the philharmonic ensemble TangoPhil at the Oetkerhalle.
Alongside her performing career, Johanna Götz is deeply committed to music education. Since 2021, she directs the Brackwede Choral School of the Bartholomäus church in Bielefeld and is active in a wide range of pedagogical work.
